Working from 8-5, 5 days a week then coming home to do the ama de casa thing doesn't leave me much time to spend with my girls so I try to go above and beyond whenever I can to spend some time with them, all within a reasonable budget. This weekend, pulled out my $1 Betty Crocker cake mix from HEB, $.98 peppermint Pillsbury frosting and $1 cupcake papers from Walmart, and $2.47 festive sprinkle set from Ross to make Decorate-your-own cupcake crafts! I had my brother and sisters over too :) Check out the pics...

Budget Saver Tip #1
Like most of you, I'm a working mami trying hard to stay on a budget... but how?! One thing I found really useful is DYI nails and nail art! Mi esposo ya me dice que soy adicta to nail polish but the way I see it is well, por mas que gaste it doesn't come close to what I would have spent at the salon! All the polishes I used here were under $3 ! The rhinstones, $1 at my HEB for 1200 multi colored pieces! What do ya think?
